Kenneth R. Weinberg, M.D.
Kenneth R. Weinberg is a three time Board Certified Emergency Medicine and Medical Marijuana physician. After finishing a residency in Internal Medicine, Dr. Weinberg created a Fellowship in Psychoneuroimmunology at the Manhattan VA, then trained in Emergency Medicine at Bellevue and NYU Langone Hospital.
Dr. Weinberg has practiced Emergency and Urgent Care Medicine
for over three decades.
When New York State’s Compassionate Care Act was passed in January of 2016 he founded Cannabis Doctors of New York. The practice - which is based in New York City and Upstate - certifies patients, educates the public, and advocates for the many benefits of medical marijuana. The advocacy, education, as well as cannabis research are also carried out in his role as a member of the Medicinal Cannabis Workgroup at Northwell Health.
Dr. Weinberg has treated hundreds of patients with diseases across a spectrum of conditions. He is a cannabis advocate and an emerging thought leader who has lectured on the benefits of cannabis throughout the state, met with elected officials to promote its use, and been featured in various publications.
Sarah Halweil, R.N.
Sarah Halweil has been a registered nurse for over 20 years. Early in her career, she specialized in labor and delivery and later developed expertise in cannabis medicine.
She has helped hundreds of patients with many conditions and challenges, including pain and opioid reduction.
She has provided cannabis guidance during hospice care
and as an adjunct to cancer treatment.
Sarah was previously the clinical coordinator for a complementary therapy program at Southampton Hospital in New York. Her team used techniques including reiki, yoga, and essential oil therapy to help patients cope with their pain and exhaustion to experience better overall health and well-being.

For people who are interested in using cannabis as medicine,
there are general guidelines, but many benefit from personal attention. Others may have a few questions and need direction in navigating the burgeoning field of cannabis.
Nurse Sarah loves helping to find the best, most suitable regimen and providing medical feedback for her patients.
